About Bluebird Pizzeria

Located at 496 E 14th St, San Leandro, CA 94577, Bluebird Pizzeria operates as a pizza restaurant serving San Leandro in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. In San Leandro, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across California on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Hours are published for 4 days a week. The most common schedule is 4–8 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Bluebird Pizzeria at (510) 562-1199; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. San Leandro is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around San Leandro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The pizza was so yummy!! They were so friendly and nice even though we were so late for our pickup 😭 We got the double combo and grandma pizza. I loved them both! The grandma pizza is really good with hot honey. I really like the taste of the dough, and it’s great reheated. I’m glad I found a pizza place closer to us! AND they have all the boylan flavors! We’ll definitely be back!

After a long overdue absence, I finally returned to Bluebird Pizzeria right here in San Leandro, and wow, what an absolute experience. What truly sets this place apart is how incredibly personable and welcoming the service is. The owner, Fran, could not have been nicer, and watching the staff interact with the customers made it obvious that they treat everyone like family. It gives the whole restaurant a fantastic, warm neighborhood vibe where everyone feels like a regular. We ordered the Margherita ClΓ‘sica and a salad (see pictures!). There is nothing quite like a pizza served directly from the oven piping hot. The crust, the balance of flavors, the freshnessβ€”everything was absolutely spot on. I am thrilled to have such world-class pizza right in our own backyard. Bluebird has officially earned a spot as my new regular pizzeria. Go there!

The Pizzas are made fresh to order with real fresh quality ingredients. The owner Fran and the server Emily felt like real friends and family which made the already delicious pizza taste even better!

What a pleasant visit and top notch hospitality. The folks at Bluevird are super nice! We walked in not realizing that they were sold out, they only had a couples slices of cheese pizza left and since we had a little one with us, we ordered that along with 2 cannolis. Not only did they give us extra cannolis, they also gave us extra pizza since they had excess from a different order. Although dine in was technically over, they said we could eat and at no point did they try to rush us out or even started cleaning. The food: the cheese pizza was very good, the cannolis freshly piped. I’m coming back for sure!

Solis neighborhood spot for an east coast pie, run by a couple of good folks;) Ordered half veggie half new york: -good hold/no flop -neutral crust with no bubble, not crispy -perfect amount of toppings, not soggy -fresh ingredients -sauce is a bit bland/plain Also ordered the plain and pistachio cannolis, crust was fresh and ricotta was smooth. I’d personally introduce some tanginess/acidity like lemon juice/mascarpone/cream cheese. Overall a reliable pick if you’re nearby, just need more seasoning/flavoring.
